I have just ordered one of your rods. What length of leader do you recomend and what weight.

Cust,
Are you sure the both the closed length and the handle length are the same size? Doesn't sound right to me

Thanks Alex, dyslexia strikes again 22.5cm handle length. 2 and 5's ... classic.
Adric ... I've use the rod with a 12 foot line and 5 foot tippet. Sometimes I length or shorten depending on the water and what sort of clearance I have for casting. I'll try to fish longer if the fish are spooky and shorter if it's tight and I need the added accuracy without worrying about overhead branches. Many people like a line plus tippet the same length as the rod. I find slightly longer is more comfortable for netting fish. The rod will handle everything from a 2# in no wind to a 5# in stronger winds.
Everything is a compromise. The lighter lines I can keep off the water easier, but they are harder to cast if there is any adverse wind. Of course if you have the wind behind then everything is simple! As a rule I tend to try and fish as light as possible for the conditions.
Thank you for taking one of my rods. I am sure you will be very happy with it.

Thanks for that
I will play with different weight 3 metre furled leaders. Will try in the garden until weather/river conditions improve.

My congratulations to you, adric!! You've joined our crazy cast. My congratulations to you, cust!!! You've infected one more clean-handed angler To adric - try level line #3.5 just the beginning, it will overturn some of your basic casting principles.

I have taken delivery of one of these rods this morning. The quality is wonderful! from the rod container to the embroidered rod bag to the beautiful rod itself. I am an aerospace professional and have much experiance working with carbon tubes. This rod is lovely. Literaly took my breath away. Get one while the price is right folks !

Thank you so much for the compliment landsurfer111. I have taken my time getting these rods to market making sure everything was of the highest standard. I hope more people will do write ups and comment on the rod. I need to sell a few more then I can bring out the next rod.
A little more tweaking required on the 14ft version, but it's close, real close.

Likewise,
I received my ESO Tenkara this morning although I haven't even unwrapped it yet. I'll probably get round to opening it tomorrow and I may even have time to give it a wobble out the back, my first fishing trip with the rod will probably be Friday or Saturday depending on how things pan out but you can be sure I'll be reviewing it on my blog and I'll write a little here too.
Thanks to Custheyder for the prompt service ;_-)

Service is just as important to me as the tackle I supply. Looking forward to all the reports and reviews.
Thank you all for the support.

Yes, thanks for the speedy service. Just a quick question, how are we referring to your rods ?, ESO Tenkara 360 6:4 ? or ESO 12 ?.

360 6:4 ... Then it's up to you, ESO-Tenkara from Esoteric Tackle or whatever. I'm not precious about the definition.... 12ft (360cm) ... 360cm(12ft) ... I think it depends on the generation as to which makes sense. I'm that era that is in the middle and mixes up all the measurements.
As long as it casts well and the length and flex ratio is known what else really matters?

Ok, I will refer to my rod as the (drum roll) "ESO-Tenkara 360", hopefully everyone will be at peace with this and refer to there's how they prefer
