I am keen to develop my casting repertoire for tenkara. I would like to be able to cast under overhanging bushes etc. I understand that there are some good underhand techniques. Anyone got a video clip that demos the technique?
Thanks
Alan

Unfortunately not but an explanation as to how I do it might help. I either do a side Bow & Arrow cast with the rod held low & parallel to the water or I do an underhand Jump Roll cast by starting with a low rod, sweeping it up & bringing it in a downward arc as off playing a low tennis ball. Hope this helps. Paul G & John P may well have a suitable video clip from their extensive top notch collection.

The casts that Oni is performing throughout the first 30 seconds of this video are all under the rod-tip. You will not find a better model to copy, but there isn't any instruction to go with it!:

PS - obviously this is not one of our videos; but is a great resource from an old TV program posted on youtube by an Italian contributor. Worth making clear as I'm not trying to claim it as my own work!
