Hi all
Had my first Tenkara experience with John Pearson at the DT syndicate this weekend. Really enjoyed it, what a lovely way to fly fish. John's a great tutor, learnt a heck of a lot but realise the learning is only just beginning.
Look forward to reading Tenkara adventures on here and will report mine too.
Tight lines all.

Welcome Tony. You'll find a lot of useful info. on the forum & a load of very friendly folks who will be only too keen to help you in any way possible. You've made a great start by getting JP to show you the ropes, he & Paul Gaskell are 2 of the UK's top Tenkara guys.

Thanks Paul Hope it wasn't too bad :-)
Was blown away by the scenery and gorgeous fish. John puts things across very well. I've spent a lot of time using johns French leader so that helped me. Look forward to developing my tenkara skills.
Also tying up some kebari flies.

Quite the contrary! He said that your great dead drift control showed you had practised really well with French leaders and that with a tenkara casting-line tune up and a few casting drills that you will continue to shoot up in tenkara skill level very quickly We are very lucky with the scenery and streams.
