Morning All,
Got my new t rod, and I am planning to return to England for a weeks holiday late July or early August. My options are open at the moment with no real plans of going anywhere in particular just as yet, but would like to get a day or twos fishing in while I am there.
I am thinking somewhere Midlands to York area or Wales area, with something close by where the wife can go sightseeing or shopping while I get a line wet for a few hours.
Any decent spots you can recommend?
Cheers
Bob

Depends what you mean by close, but the Welsh Dee at Llangollen springs to mind, as there are day tickets. Chester (shopping and sights) is an easy drive, maybe 45 minutes. Lots of references on this forum to the Dee e.g. last year's tenkara meeting. Several large National Trust houses nearby too. e.g: www.nationaltrust.org.uk/erddig/Tight lines!

Bob I would agree totally with dbl. Lots to be said for that part of North Wales and the Cheshire border. There is the Alan also and the Ceiriog and I know other forum members can point you in the right direction with those other streams. You also have the upper Dee at Bala with day ticket available and some interesting stuff for the wife. Hope you get sorted Glyn
