Miracle Float is great on all dry flies including CdCs. I've just ordered 4 tubes for myself & friends from Stu Wardle. You can pull CdCs under the water & they'll pop back up just like an emerging fly.

Thought I would check in to see why all my Miracle Float is going...thanks for the kind words Dave and I remember a good number of years ago extolling the virtues of it. It is difficult to get hold of and it is expensive however it is brilliant stuff and a bottle lasts a very long time. Some interesting views on desiccants here too. I'm not a lover of any of them. A bit like going to the doctors for medicine to solve a problem...I prefer to not have the problem in the first place :-) Good quality fresh CdC is a must and a tiny amount rubbed on your finger tips and applied will see the fly last a long time. I never squeeze in tissue, amadou or anything else. If badly slimed...rinse the fly two or three times in the water and a few quick flicks to expel the water and it should be good to go. My "online shop" for what it is not great and there seems to be a problem in adding the £3.00 postage. If you have any problems just email and I'll sort it. Its only because January and February has been such a wash out that I've time to look through the forums. Hopefully that will change soon for all the right reasons I look forward to contributing to the forum in the future. Stuart
