I have just been to this river for 5 days salmon fishing and with the water quite low and not really ideal for salmon it was apparant that the local brown trout population was hungry for small salmon flies! Although the trout season was over meaning we could not target them lots were caught up to around the pound mark with lots around 9-10". How I wished I had been there in September with a Tenkara outfit! So, to you Scottish enthusiasts it might be worth checking it out next season. It is a pretty little river well suited to 'T'. We were on the Bargany estate and when I asked the keeper about trout fishing he said that nobody trout fished it at all!! So, I hope that the information may prove useful to someone out there and the photo may whet your appetities! I may well return next year slightly earlier and have a proper try for them. Good luck Glyn
