I've just joined the forum but have fished Tenkara on and off (more off) over the last four years or so, especially on the Nidd in North Yorkshire . My local river is the Ceiriog which is perfect for the method but I can't quite bring myself to mothball my reels completely!

I like fishing cane and still do so don't feel you have to stop! What I have found is that because of the superior presentation which Tenkara affords I find myself using it more and more often. Fish on a cane rod feels like nothing else but it is not always the best way to fish in lots of circumstances. I would guess that the Ceiriog is ideal for Tenkara. Good fishing and enjoy the forum.
