I do a lot of stillwater fishing with the T rod, It's a very productive way to catch wild brownies paritcularly still waters with plenty of features. The brownies are usually just a few feet from the edge. There's a few posts from me in the fishing reports Rosebush res, Blea tran in the lakes and Grasmere where I caught perch so close to the bank i didn't evern need wellies I was wearing walking boots.

I've fished a large reservoir in Austria. Concentrating my efforts on where a main feeder stream entered I had as rainbow of a bit over 2 lb, lost a bigger one that shed the hook & also a couple of brook trout around 1.5 lb each on dry flies. It would also be good on some of the Scottish hill lochs or Cow Green Reservoir in Teesdale, where the brownies often hug the margins, but I've not tried it there yet.
