Did i see an Otter ?

Fishing at Winn Gardens on the River Don in Sheffield this morning.
Caught 2 lovely brownies.
Will put some pics on when i can work out how to !!! ...Help !!
Across the river, about 6 ft from the bank, a head appeared, swam to the edge and climbed then scampered off down the bank.
Dark brown , nearly black in colour.
Over a foot long...

Otter??

Probably a mink. Otters are massive and are chestnut brown with pale muzzles.
