Thought i'd post a shot of a Cased Caddis that has been catching well for me over the last few weeks. The hook is a size 10 TMC Grubber. Thread is Brown Chamel 6/0. White antron for the thorax. Grey Partridge for the legs. The case is made up of fake soil from miniature dolls house's that my wife collects & builds. I have varnished 2/3rds of the body & then sprinkle the fake soil on, wait until completey dry then varnished over the whole case. I have tied half a dozen in different sizes & hook styles, some weighted some not. As can be seen the fake soil makes an extremely effective body material that is also very durable. The Derwent Trout & Grayling seem to be falling for it. Stevie.
