Hi all, After that story on the new member intro board about my Galician uncle and his bow-and-arrow-cast-tenkara-esque-semi-dapping-with-crickets, or whatever that was, I thought I'd try my first ever tie, and I made a 'cricket kebari,' if you'll allow the term. Hopefully I can use it with the tenkara rod and a short line for skimming the top near banks. For hackle I used blackbird feather, and the body was built with a little tiny strip of closed-cell foam stolen from the kids' art hamper, for added floatation. It's a bit fugly but I'l give it a dance next time I'm out. You can see it in my photos of the leather tanker wallet, sitting in the wool... Attachments:

I'm sure it'll take a fish or two. Don't forget your camera when you take it swimming!
