Hello I'm up in the Lakes at the moment on my hols, I finally got out with the T rod today. I fished Blea Tarn between little Langdale and Great Langdale. I wasn't expecting much as the Tarn is free fishing and very accessible about 5min walk from the national trust car park. I sneaked off for a couple of hours this morning before the family woke and landed at least a dozen trout nothing over 6oz but very enjoyable. All the fish bar one came to a size 16 stewarts spider on 2lb tippet. I didn't have my camera for the morning session but got out again this evening as the Tarn is only 4 miles from the cottage we're in. It was very windy but managed another 4 just before dark.

Fantastic stuff. The colour of these lock tarns is far more yellow than the trout in our waters. A wild fish of any size beats a double figure stockie every day in my book.
