thats a cracking stretch of water pete will be even better as the water levels come down and you get a bit more clarity in it.
will be good to see more pictures when the water is at the right level hope you had fun on your first fishing trip and many more

Thanks for that Jay, I am looking forward to many years of fishing. I loved the feel of the Tenkara rod so light and responsive, was a joy to fish with. Bearing in mind I have never used a fly rod before was very impressed how easy it was to cast. I spent nearly 5 hours on the river no bites but a great learning process and am now looking forward to the water dropping.

the main thing is you loved it and you clearly did and welcome to the simplicity of tenkara now spread the good word lol

Lovely bit of water. Glad you got the casting going well. I'm not quickly releasing rods unless I'm happy that they do indeed cast the best they can. Looking forward to pictures of your first Tenkara fish!
