Nice fish coppernymph.
Wondering what killer fly & method you were using at the time?
Its always good to see a well worn cork handle on a rod too.

Hi everyone I got this fish on a dry, a size 14 TMC 103BL CDC Large Dark Olive on that particular day I got half a dozen all on dry. Some of the Trout in the Calder are silvery but others have lovely spots on them, I don't know the reason why, but the river does have sewage farms along its length and we do get a lot of crud on the bottom, but they are definitely Brown Trout. The river flows into the Ribble at Calder Foot and Sea Trout do come up and are caught I have had one myself on dry fly, but you know when you have one on they go ballistic, we also have the odd Salmon coming up and I have seen them but there is not enough to fish for them, they have lowered a weir at Padiham to let more fish up so we will see what happens.
