A few hours spare today so decided to christen my new Tenkara rod.
My tenkara flies are on order so dries for me today, caught two lovely WBT and lost countless more.
Very pleased with the result!
I love the simplicity of it all, I took to the casting pretty quickly and had no trouble playing the fish, loved it!
cheers

Tenkaraedi, Well done catching wbt on your first trip I've never fished the Almond, but have had great success on the WOL and Rivers North and South Esk using the T rod. Hope you'll post more of your fishing trip experiences throughout the season. Tight Lines Alex

Thanks Alex
Ive had great success when ive been out, last 3 or 4 visits i am catching fish. Im pretty pleased with the results, still alot to learn with Tenkara but its pretty exciting.
The simplciity of the method just really appeals to me.
Where on the WOL do you fish? is it still stocked? I have never tried it but always open to new areas.
You should try the Almond, good fishing from Cramond all the way to Livingston, i can recommened places to park etc as a start if you ever wanted to try.
cheers.
