It occurred to me when doing a spot of tenkara nymphing at the weekend, what a lovely simple method this would be to get my 8 year old son into river fly fishing with minimum fuss. I've already decided to get him a wee pair of chest waders, but am now thinking I might get him a tenkara rod rather than pass him onto one of my old four weights.
Anyone got any suggestions for a good quality but reasonably inexpensive tenkara pole which might suit him......possible a wee bit shorter than your average job as I'll probably take him on some small streams to start with so I don't inadvertently drown him!
Cheers M

Check out Chris on tenkara bum wth his kids kits. Downside is vat + fee from post office for collecting it.

I've a new rod about to land any day that you might find suitable. It's with the couriers.
