Fresh up on our pages just now there is a video of our revealing chat with two of the great anglers and personalities in Japanese tenkara today. It was filmed right after we'd nailed a series of terrific fly-tying and Q&A sequences for our upcoming documentary films and we got some great insight and wonderful answers from the guys. At the end of the video, feel free to click on the link that appears in the frame to head on over to our blog for more details about the context of this conversation - we think you'll really enjoy that too. Also, please do comment below and on the relevant section of our blog as it always helps us to keep doing things better, Enjoy! (PS, you can watch the video at larger sizes and full available quality by going to our vimeo channel and selecting "full screen", the embedded player "full screen" option is at a lower pixel resolution than the one available on vimeo BUT, this won't give you the link to the blog post at the end, so I've put it below the video in this post too ). www.discovertenkara.co.uk/why-tenkara-video-interview-with-himano-san-and-go-ishii/

An interesting conversation which I believe strengthens what many feel about Tenkara in that there are so many sides to this branch of our sport including the social side of it and the comradeship. My own feelings are that we miss a trick if we have to dash off home after fishing when we could spend a little time with our friends unwinding, discussing the day, having some food and drink and exchanging thoughts. Thanks for this Paul Glyn

Thank you Glyn, I totally agree. Even the technical side of fishing is enhanced by post-match analysis over a few drinks :-)
