Great video and nice to see a fish. 1 thing I noticed is the the drift was quite short. I would have made my drift longer. What do other people think?

Nice video. I'm itching to get on the water again.
With regards the drift I think it depends on the water you're fishing. Sometimes I will drift no more than a couple of feet if I am focussing on a very small pot. On a longer run, like in the video I might let it drift much further but there is another consideration.... foliage!
Why foliage? Simply because it can effect your cast. I find that it is harder to recast without a false cast after I let the fly get too far below me and the vegetation is tight.
You might also consider that you have already fished the water below as you are stepping carefully up through the pool.
Just my thoughts.
