Who needs it ? I wear thigh waders. When catching a fish and needing to land it by hand or changing lines ( i never change flies at the river ) i push the handle of my rod into the top of my waders giving me 2 free hands to get on with it...

Fair enough landsurfer... if you use thigh waders. I, believe it or not, wear chesties even though I mainly fish tiny streams, mainly to allow easy crossing from bank to bank, and necessary wading under low canopies. A lot of the streams I fish have steep and heavily overgrown banks, so having this little gadget would probably be useful for chaps that fish this type of water, maybe? I'm out with a couple of guys on the local brooks this weekend, so will have a chat with them , see what they think. It's interesting to see what people think Tight lines Gary
