I managed to get out on the river Lugg today a major tributary of the Wye in Herefordshire. I was fishing a beat at Mortimers Cross managed by the Usk and Wye foundation. It is a great beat. I caught plenty of grayling including one of about 16” all on my Tenkara rod. The big fish was quite a struggle too land. It is a shame that I did not bring my camera. I will try this beat again and will try to remember my camera.

The Lugg is a lovely stream and the Arrow even prettier - plenty of WUF beats on the Passport or booking office and they are all close together. Some very good grayling in there for sure. The Lugg seems to take forever to rise or fall however whereas the Arrow is much quicker which is worth remembering if you are planning a trip. The cameras on the WUF website really help plus the EA reports. Glad that you enjoyed the Borderlands experience. Flatghost
