I was on the river last week and having attached my line to the lilian started to deploy the rod. I noticed that it was wet despite having been in the living room for a week since last use. As usual i wiped down the rod at the end of the day. I have just unscrewed the plug from the handle ( that would make it the "butt plug" )and yet again more water ?? Condensation anybody ? Your thoughts ........

I've just Googled "Butt Plug" big mistake.
As for you're other issues regarding a wet rod, I don't think it's too much of a problem as long as you don't store it for a long period in the tube as the cork may go mildew. I noticed there is a small hole to allow ventilation in the end cap of my tube but I'm not sure it's enough.
