Hi Polishnympher,
those are some lovely looking fishing spots, looking forward to seeing some fish from there. Keen to see some flies too, tight lines!

Welcome to the UK forum, where abouts in the UK do you normally fish? Also how do you find the Tenkara growth here compeared to the US?
Simon.

I assumed it was the Georgia that lies on the eastern side of the Black Sea, judging from the photos. They are lovely looking waters. Do they contain the same species of fish as here, or is there anything we would find exotic?
Chris.

Sorry I should have been more specific, it is the republic of georgia (the country) not the USA.
The main species are brown trout and chub in the rivers. I will upload some fish photos tomorrow. Most of the rivers are not fished so you can walk for miles knowing that most of the fish you catch have never been caught before. Saying that the fishing is not easy as the fish prefer natural flies fished as natural as possible. Can be frustrating at times.
Kind Regards

Wonderful, don't give up the day job if it takes you to places like that!
In 'Going Fishing' by Negley Farson,(his day job took him there too) pages 90 to 96, there is a short account of fishing in the Caucasus, if anyone's interested.
