I suggested recently on the forum " Why don't rods have built in line holders" I don't think I was able to describe what I was talking about very well. Anyway I've now attached some to my rod here's what I did. I ordered some drop shot hook keepers here www.valleycustomrods.com/store/viewitem.php?productid=973And whipped them to my rod This may not be for everyone but it works really well for me it's nice and simple. It cost me just over £7 with post to order 6 pairs of hook keepers. I'm going to attach these to my other rods and I've got a few spares too.

Hello I posted this suggestion for line holders back in July as you can see by the response I had it went down a storm ha! ha!. I've put these on all my T rods and wouldn't be without them now but I have to except it's not everyone’s cup of tea although I think if they were fitted at the factory it would look a lot better and I think T rods should be fitted with some way of holding the line. Ez keeper just aren't for me. Browsing through the Tenkara usa web site I found someone who has put a groove in thier butt cap to hold the line and something similar to the holders I use whipped to the top to hold the line. If you took this a step further and put a groove in the bottom and top caps tenkara rods would come with ready made line holders and you could still use ez keepers if you so wished. Further more the new style end caps could be sold and fitted to excising rods If you follow the link below it will make more sense www.tenkarausa.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=3771&p=23961&hilit=gregm+butt+cap#p23961

A very cheep idea is to cut down two plastic cutain hooks and then attach them with elastic bands. They work but I think i will whip them on.
