Board's been kinda quiet so I thought I'd shake things up a bit with a shameless plug.
For a long time my favorite line was twisted horsehair. I just love the way it casts. Well, I have a new favorite. Fluorescent orange hi-vis 100% fluorocarbon level line. Much easier to see strikes!

Shameless indeed Interesting though, been using the pink level leaders almost exclusively lately and there are light conditions and light conditions for pink.

It's also available in the UK. Can you guess where from? I'm only adding this note because the thread comes up in the search engines so often and I believe in choice.
Oh ... and I am just as shameless!

There are a few options available now. I'm waiting for the Sunline replacement line to come into stock. However, at the moment I am preferring the BMS Snipper which has hi-vis orange ands pink sections which allow bite detection when the movement is parallel to line direction as well as being slightly more stealthy.

Not yet, but it is on the way from Sunline as we speak.... perhaps it will be a new favourite? I don't know yet. I do know that on some of our rivers the bright orange spooks the fish so I use the BMS with the 40cm clear section towards the tippet.
The link says it is supposed to be softer and easier to cast. I'm not sure I like the idea of it being softer. I do know it has been developed with the assistance of the leading Tenkara specialists in Japan.
I still intend to stock it, but when it arrives I'll make a direct comparison between the old and the new for an honest review.

... I'll make a direct comparison between the old and the new for an honest review. I've already compared. New Buttoby tenkara level line is softer and "more orange" the predecessor. I like it more.
