In the last order I received there were a few packets of indicators that I thought were quite interesting. The first packet has tiny tufts of yarn that slide off the nylon and are adjustable on your leader. The method is shown on thw back of the pack. They use them for Ayu fishing as a group of 4. I can see my local trout "having a go" at them! The next pack looks like egg yarn with little brass clips at either end. About an inch and a half in length (4cm) they are like nothing I've seen before but a concept that I have heard discussed. Easy to put ojn the leader and easy to take off. The last spool is a seriously bright pink very fine yarn which fluffs up after you put it on. The packet indicates two different ways of tying it onto the leader. I've seen this sort of thing befire but not in such a fine diameter. Just a note that they are not for sale in the shop. I'm offering them as curiosities to wonder at. What do you think of them? custheyder, I like them a lot...I think they would be great for tenkara fishing...the two end ones anyway....I'm still trying to get my brain around the middle one which is intriguing me ....thanks for sharing this with us Alex

Here's a close up of one of them... I opened the packet. Is the clip clearer? (in the fuzzyness of the image) I thought you guys might like to share in my enjoyment of orders coming in with different samples. I've not asked for any of these to be sent so it's a bit of a lottery what appears. All weird and wonderful.

custheyder, The clip is clearly seen...thanks for taking the trouble to photo this...it's hard to imagine the clips holding x6 or x7 line without slipping....Do you intend to try them out over the coming weeks It would be interesting to get your views on these various indicators Hope you have tight lines on Sunday Alex

I'll stick them in my pocket and see if I can get them to stick tomorrow. I generally just use multicoloured nylon indiator with a couple of drops on for very fine fishing. On the Czech nymph rig I have a braid and bead setup with is highly visible but a bit heavy for tenkara.
Dishing the Silverburn tomorrow, but because I have a pass for the day I might try Colby Glen as well. Not fished in there before but I have to pick my son up later and it is just down the road.

The clip works! .... I put it on a 7x tippet and it didn't slip at all. In fact I had to lift the clip with my finger nail to get it in! I snapped the leader tring the first time. I didn;t try the others as I was mainly fishing dries.

custheyder, Good to know that they work well on fine leaders....annoying that the leader broke first time trying.....I thought it was only me that that sort of thing happens to. Alex

It only snapped becasue I was trying to force it into the clip. Definately used more strain than the breaking strain of the leader.
... I am also an expert at catching ears on windy days.
