Hi all, Spent a couple of hours on the Tweed at Lyne Station, a beautiful stretch of the tweed with some great fish. Started fishing around four o'clock until around eight. Lots of fly life however the water was very low. 5" in some parts. Water crystal clear. I feel it may be tricky fishing today and stealth is the key. I tackled up using the new third generation line, four ft of tippet and size 16 Partridge and Orange, then after an hour i changed over to my new Jingler that I tied a couple of weeks ago... Working my up the river to the junction on the Tweed and the Lyne water. A great spot for early evening action. The new chest waders are great. ;D Fishing across and down after about twenty mins a sharpe tug on the line but no connection, but they are there !!! Spent the rest of the time working my way into small pockets and pools but no joy. After around about an hour the realisation of this river and its charm had completely taken over and the rest of my time fishing was truly magical. The light, smells, and noises where amazing. No Fish but a massive sense of calm.. Looking forward to the next day out. Tight lines Buglife

buglife, You did manage a sharp tug....always nice to get a fish on a fly you've tied yourself...maybe next outing but then again it's not all about catching fish is it....as your report so eloquently alludes to. I fished around there last season and it is a superb location....even the tributary..the Lyne Water is fabulous for the T rod. Look forward to more posts in the near future. tight lines Alex

Sounds like complete paradise buglife.
If you dont mind me asking, Where abouts is the junction of the tweed & lyne water? Is it a day ticket water. I love the tweed, some of my best fishing memories are on that river, i would like to explore more as most of my time has been spent fishing around kelso.
How are you getting on with the jinglers?
Regards Stevie.

Anyone up for a Tweed get together for the Grayling ?, the season reopens on 1st January I think down in Peebles, there's plenty opportunity before the trout season starts to go hunt down some ladies.
If anyone fancies it let me know and we can talk dates.
