Could you stock 'lilian' braid? Tenkara USA charge 7dollars a foot for it, plus carriage. I'm sure you could better that.

I've managed to locate some red Lillian braid and I'll bring it over in my next order from Japan. Before that it's my birthday so I'm ording myself some new waders and one of them wading stick net thingies. As I'm putting the order into JMC in France in the next week or so. If anyone is interested in any JMC products please let me know and I'll tag them in as well. Send me a pm with what you'd like and I'll work out a price for you.... or contact me through the main shop website. (link at the bottom) JMC's catalogue is here: www.mouchesdecharette.com/catalogue2012/fr.pdfThe prices are in Euro's but if you take off 15% that'll give you a rough price in £ (GBP) Cheers Cust.

I just got my tapered fluorocarbon leader delivered today.I was looking for the more aggressive one to use for French Nymphing when its windy.I bought the Long Cast one (4.5 - 1.5).I think i have bought the correct one.Looking at Custheyders site its a bit confusing as his site says the Extra Cast is the more aggressive one. From Cusheyders site.
Buttobi Tenkara (Fluorocarbon) 8m Tapered Leader
This tapered leader was designed by an expert team at Sunline in Japan for it's casting ability with a Tenkara rod. The crystal clear fluorocarbon has all the advantages of fluorocarbon in water. It is near invisible and it cuts through the surface to sink. Much heavier than nylon and co-polymer a much thinner leader can be used which is effected less by the wind when casting.
Application as a French Nymph leader must not be overlooked. The extra length plus the superb casting makes this the leader the ultimate in presentation. Perfectly balanced it allows most of the line to be held off the water for reaching those difficult holding spots accross complex river currents. Conventional fly line and leader could never fish these places.
The slightly lighter Long Cast version has a delicate presentation. The Extyra Cast has a more aggressive taper profile and is ideal for larger flies and when their is a bit of a wind.
We do not believe you will find a better casting tapered leader for Tenkara or for French Nymph.
Long Cast #3.5-#1.5 (expert angler model) Butt Section : #3.5(dia. 0.308mm) approx. 4m Taper Section : approx. 3m Tippet Section : #1.5(dia. 0.202mm) approx. 1m Extra Cast #4.5-#1.5 (intermediate/elementary angler model) Butt Section : #4.5(dia. 0.350mm) approx. 5m Taper Section : approx. 2m Tippet Section : #1.5(dia. 0.202mm) approx. 1m
Have i bought the aggressive tapered one Custheyer.Cheers

Cust.
Forgot to thank you for the jig hooks & tungstan beads.
Only put the order in Sunday night & they were dropped through the letterbox Tuesday morning! I intend to tie some hares ears, peeping caddis & may even try a tenkara fly for the first time. When i've whipped them up i'll post them in the fly dressing section for everyone to laugh at.
Regards Stevie.

Sorry for the slowness of replies... computer issues yesterday and my phone wasn't upto the job.
rabmaxy: The Extra is the more aggressive taper with a shorter length of taper and a longer butt. The Long Cast is th emore delicate for dry flies and lighter nymphs. I thing you have the lighter one. If you haven't used it yet I'll swap it for you.
Stevie: Thank you. Post doesn't leave the Island till Monday if ordered on a Sunday. Glad you like then. I'm looking forward to seeing your flies. There will be no laughing I promise!

The first rod 360cm 6:4 is now available. I also have some lillian braid if anyone wants any. Not listed on the site because I don't have much much. £2 for 50cm... including postage.

I've added product comments to the shop. Could I ask anyone who has bought from the shop to please drop some comments in about the products please. I'll put up a prize in the middle of September (15th) to someone at random. So it's all fair I'll ask someone to pick a number between 1 and however many I get ... they will get the prize.
Not decided yet what it'll be but it'll be worth having!
Cheers
Cust.
