I don't have the skill to make a tamo...although inspired by Simon's efforts I thought I would try something.... The net on the left is made from a wooden framed squash racket that I managed to secure from ebay for 99p + p&p I will use this net on the smaller rivers and streams. The net on the right is made from an old badminton wooden framed racket...I had to pay top dollar for this at £9.99 +p&p....so it better be good Just waiting to catch a grayling to Christen it. I'll start with the smaller squash net since this was made first. ;D tight lines Alex

That are brilliant! lmao. No seriously, I'm sure they will work just fine. If not you can just turn the gas on.

Hi Leckie, Those nets look great it take the meaning of recycling to a new level ;D 99p sound like a great bargin too me. How much was the mesh or did you recycle that too. As they say one mans rubbish is another mans gold !!!! Have you consider making a net like Simon's ? Lots of suitable trees down the Esk.. Tight lines Buglife

landsurfer, I had an old Fladen scoop net that I used....your can look on ebay and look out for a second hand one....you can buy a brand new one delivered currently for £7.87...I used picture frame wire and used old strimmer nylon that I had lying aboutin the garage to secure it to the frame...it fitted the holes perfectly

landsurfer, Yeah...my posh slazenger net cost me 99p plus p&p from ebay I think you'll have to cut your net to suit....I'm sure it will be too long...that's what I had to do with my Fladen net...let us know how you get on. tight lines Alex
