Hi all. A longer video this time! Shame about the number of fish caught? They seem to know when there is someone with camera. Notice that the first fish is caught with a downstream dry, very hard to control with a standard rod. If you watch closely you can see the very small fly coming into shot from bottom right. Thanks to Pedros for putting up with me and my tripod. Simon.

Nicely put together Simon. Re the clip of the Grayling taking the fly, this was 'downstream' dry. We had spotted the rise, cast across then 'moved' the fly into line. The extra length of the Tenkara then enabled the leader and most of the tippet to be held off the water thus eliminating drag... then wallop. Due to a Willow stump being immediatley downstream of the rise, it is doubtful we would have caught this fish with a conventional fly rod and setup. P

Simon Nice video clip. It's amazing how one day you can get loads of action and others it's just hard work even to attract some interest. You can hear and see that it was a bit windy which doesn't help but the water looked very clear and inviting. It's a great little river for tenkara fishing. Keep up the good work and Pedros as well. leckie
