I don't have a protective tube for my Tenkara rod. I'm looking for one that is about 65cm long and 38mm diameter. I was thinking of making one from 40mm plastic waste pipe and two screw weld access caps. Would cost about £7. Does anyone have a better suggestion?

I once had a Tenkara USA "Iwana" which was provided with a tube. I hardly ever used it; just another piece of clutter to carry about.
Chris.

Many thanks. I decided to go ahead and it took me about 5 minutes to knock up - and it is great. The only trouble is that I now have 2.5 metres of 40mm pipe left over!
