Reference my earlier post today in the ‘Closure’ thread.p, here is my first offering. i am sure many of you are aware of the Utah Killer Bug using Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift wool in Oyster (290) colour. I really like that wool and have bought about 20+ colours. Below is one of the examples of my efforts Hends BL550 #12 hook Uni-thread 6/0 dark brown Whiting Brahma hen mottled grey dyed March Brown Copper fuse wire rib Jamieson’s Shetland spindrift wool, one strand of bracken (231) and one strand of moorit (108) twisted together Collar of dubbed moorit wool 2mm chocolate tungsten bead

Looks good david, a nice caddis.
I often use a similar bead on my GRHE sakasa kebari when I need to get down.

That's a really nice looking fly indeed.
Nice and buggy appearance. Have you had much joy with it on the end of a cast?
I really like fishing spiders using the tenkara rod. I am particularly keen on the Hare's Ear Sakasa Kebari, Grouse and Yellow Sekasa Kebari and the Grouse and Cardinal Sekasa Kebari.
I'm going to get a set of flies tied up and ready for the trout season and hopefully get some decent stream action this year. I haven't been out properly for the last 3 years so I'm going to make an effort to get out more often this forthcoming season.
Cheers,
CP
