Hello all, I'm thinking of purchasing the Try Tenkara 12' 7:3 rod and want to know if anyone has used it before, if so do you rate it?
TIA
Rich

Judging by the lack of responses im guessing no one has tried this rod. I've gone ahead and bought one anyway so will post a review when I fish with it.

Went ahead and bought the rod from ebay for £55 posted and I have to say it is really nice. It comes in a cloth bag and a light (alloy?) metal tube with a screw top cap.
The rod is 12' in length and 7:3 rated. The blank feels like good quality, the cork handle is AA grade I think, and the action is firm. The rod is also nice and light when setup.
I have coupled mine with an ESO tackle fluorocarbon level line #3 but I've also bought one of their titanium lines too for those windy days.
I think for people like myself who are new to tenkara and that fish medium to large rivers then this rod would be an ideal starter set up.
I'm not on commision or have any connection to Try Tenkara.
Rich.

If it's a Tenkara Times TRY rod then you won't be disappointed. I have a TRY 360 6:4 & a TRY 390 7:3, both of which are excellent. Great actions & very light.

I don't think you can go wrong with any rods from the manufacturers that have been around for a while. There's a whole range of lines available from the very light #2 up to #4.5 and then the titanium which is something rather special.
