The river has fallen faster than I thought and is now 0.43, should be even lower on Saturday.
On this basis we can still have the day - apologies for this, should have waited longer.
Hope you can still make it.

Seven of us toiled through the day in frighteningly bright conditions and catches suffered as a result ( except for Corky aka Larry who did amazingly well in the conditions, Top Man).
The object of the day was to socialise and this aim was achieved.
The level had fallen to 0.38 which was fairly ideal although still pushing through hard in places.
Don't forget that we will repeat the exercise on June 9th in hopefully kinder conditions. I already have a list but will advise of spare places in the near future.

The river was at an excellent level and the weather just right. Seven of us fished and approx 65 trout were caught including some very good specimens. The Ceiriog is good for tenkara and our thanks again to the Ceiriog Flyfishing Club for allowing us access. The day was rounded off as usual with a visit to the Lord Moreton for a well earned pint and meal. We've now had several Welsh days so it would be good if a day could be organised somewhere else.
It was good to see old and new friends, excellent day enjoyed by all.

I echo the thoughts above and I also thank Louis for a splendid day in the Principality. It was great to put a few names to the monikers on this board and a personal thanks to Dave who let me go ahead of him and allowed me to catch his Fish

First fish of the day, second cast of the day from a pool Dave and I thought would likely hold trout.

May I add my thanks to those above, I have thoroughly enjoyed both of the social days this year and love fishing the Ceiriog. It is a beautiful river and just right for my style and f tenkara fishing. Louis please continue to organise these events as it is a great way for tenkara enthusiasts to get together and if you do consider organising a social day for grayling fishing later in the year please count me in.
Many thanks again.
Larry

Many thanks to everyone for their kind comments. Despite the merger between Ceiriog Flyfishers and Corwen & District we are again invited for next season so something to look forward to. I do also intend to run a grayling day later this year on the Dee.

Hello everyone, wishing you a Happy New Year.
Just to say that I will be running a social day on the Ceiriog next season, probably in June. Can those who regularly support us ( plus others of course) let me know if there are dates you can't make as I'd like to see you all again.
We'll confirm a date in February.
Tight lines until then.
Louis
