If you sometimes use a titanium/nickel line and don't fancy the idea of a sighter between line and tippet, you can paint one on the line itself with a waterproof model paint. The paint separates into a string of little beads which are very easily seen. I first put the markers about 3 to 4 foot from the line end, but they sometimes flopped down into the water after casting, so I scraped them off and re-did them farther up.

That's a good tip Chris. The indicators I do for the titanium line are not just about visibility (I do a tan and a dark brown as well for more stealth) They help to transfer the energy of the line to the tippet and anchor the end of the line in the water so there is less "sag". However, I like the idea of painting on little drops.
