i have one of the lanyards pictured.
gone of the days when i used to take everythjing fishing with and used to feel every available pocket just because i could.
i know only take the lanyard and a small net. i have adapted the lanyard by adding and additional D loop which allows me to cconnect my net on my waist.
Excellant piece of kit and i would highly recommend it.
Kind Regards

For an ultra light weight lanyard, I would be tempted to use a spare boot lace (which you might want to have handy in any case).

I have been using the landyard pictured in the original post for the last two seasons. In addition to the landyard I carry a small scoop net landing net with rubber mesh.
Since using the landyard I have noticed I have reduced what I used to carry in my conventional waistcoat by 80%.
I would deffiately recommend the landyard to other forum members.
Kind regards SKUK

Simon, It's a nice looking lanyard and I would definitely recommend using one. I have the tenkara leather wallet handmade by Mr Kazuhiro Kuwata but at $185.95 plus postage it's a bit on the expensive side. Luckily for me I managed to pick it up on ebay at a fraction of that cost. It's basically all I take with me apart from a scoop landing net (thinking about making a tamo but I'll see how you get on first) and a wading staff because crossing even a smallish river can be tricky. leckie
