Last night at the Leeds branch of the FDG we had a guest speaker we all know, Dave Southall. He came and made us all envious of his fishing trips to Europe and the States, showing some really nice photos of the places and the fish he and a couple of mates caught there, and some of the flies that did the trick. Some of the water they managed to get some nice size fish from is what many would call unfishable, but Tenkara made them productive waters, much to the surprise of a few. After a buffet break Dave then went on to demo some of those flies, the foam beetle being one of them, and the IOBO as well, flies Dave rates very high. A good night enjoyed by all in attendance. Thanks for coming over and giving us an insight to what you do and enjoy, and some personal stuff too, Scarab noir.
