Jason Klass of Tenkara Talk posted a description of an English language Tenkara App from Japan for the Apple iPad. You can read about it here. Looks good and another useful resource for the 21st century tenkara angler. Thanks for posting Jason. Phil

I downloaded the magazine yesterday. Just had a quick flick through it but it seems like good value for money. The photos are excellent quality and a very comprehensive fly section with step by step instructions is probably worth the £1.50 on its own.

It is available on Google Play for Android and cost £1.16 Nice little app that is more like an interactive magazine. Embedded videos and animated diagrams. Well worth the money.

I downloaded this App onto my Android phone last week. The magazine format is excellent and well worth the £1.15. There are articles on casting and equipment as well as interesting sections on fishing styles in Japan and Utah. The most substantial part is a reprint of a 1946 article on tying 11 classic 19th century Tenkara flies.I hope they publish another edition.

As a related bit of gossip - Yagi-san (editor at Tsuribito magazine) was the chap who came and spent time with JP and me in Itoshiro to do the article that appeared in Tsuribito that we talked about in this blog post: www.discovertenkara.co.uk/dt-in-japanese-tv-and-magazine-features/Their photo quality is generally really high in the Japanese fishing mags (certainly consistently more impressive than UK mags).
