Morning, just added a TUSA Sato to my Christmas list.
My original decision to join was based around getting my Grandson started, I considered a whip but decided to go down this route as I predominantly fly fish now anyway.
Obviously Grandad needs to practice first so I've ordered a Sato, and them look to getting something around the 8ft mark for the little one.
I am Midlands based so will mainly be fishing for coarse fish in the local canals and tributaries. But have access to a small river with trout in.
So rod ordered DVD ordered and revision started.

Welcome to the forum. Plenty of advice, tips and experience to tap into here.
Have you considered Keiryu or bait fixed line fishing for coarse fish on the canals? Whole other world of fixed line fishing from Japan well worth a look.
Cheers
Phil

Welcome to the forum. I think you'll like the Sato, a good around Tenkara rod. Fixed line fishing for coarse fish is fun but hooking a carp can be a problem!

Same rules apply. The rod protects a light tippet, and a light tippet protects the rod.
