Brilliant day with mike roden on the usk nr crickhowell . I can only say that many mistakes( almost all costly, both in terms of money ,time & perhaps most important disillusionment ) would have been avoided IF I had had this day "in the beginning " . He ho I feel I on the right path at last. To that end I have two tenkara bum rods for sale! Pm me if interested !

glad you had a fruitful day Mark, Mike certainly knows his stuff !
The Usk is a super river but some trout are very Tenkara unfriendly !

Mark I am intrigued to know why the sudden change of rods? Nevertheless glad that you had an informative day. I fish the Usk and it can be quite challenging with Tenkara especially when low and clear with fish difficult to approach in the thin water. Cheers Glyn

Sounds a great day, on a famous river. The Usk looks a pretty big river there. Without giving away Mike's trade secrets, any details on the most productive methods? I guess fairly long rods were used? As a tackle hoarder (my first budget Abu spinning rod still sits outside in the shed), I'm surprised you're selling your rods! Tenkara Bum does quite a few brands/sizes. Any more details?
