I would only want to fish on one day, any of those Sundays would suit me. I think Steve lives in Derby, or nearby, so he may well want to make weekend of it, to make the journey worthwhile.

When I got up today, I put my stuff in the car and set off, arrived at High Force just before 10am, got a ticket and set off. It was brilliant sunshine most of the day, not good conditions for fishing, plenty of rises to my fly but only 2 of them stuck.
Would you believe it I was wearing thermals to keep warm in the wind and got myself suntan !!!!!!

I love this place, the shortest route is 77 miles, but well worth the time and effort.
I had one fish before an early bath, I stripped off my wet gear and left it on the grass behind my car. After something to eat, I decided to put my socks and wading boots back on and fish in shorts and shirt sleeves, wet wading, sticking to the margins and only fishing as far as my tackle would allow.
I had another seven fish, before my feet started getting to cold and the cloud started to thicken (as predicted by the met office).
All the fish were taken on a black SKB with a bit of red.
