Hi karel. There are plenty of WUF waters but I think adric may like to help you.

yes toneman, a pity indeed. I'm sure that flatsghost will be posting something but there is another day on the 26th. Well worth going to if anyone can make it.

Hi Louis, once again I'll miss this date. A long overdue holiday beckons on that week. So, all the best for good weather and happy fishing.
Regards
Phil

Hello to all who expressed an interest in the June 25th social day on the Ceiriog. Here are the details:
WE will meet at Caffi Wylfa, Castle Rd,Chirk post code LL14 5BS as last time. Suggest between 9 - 9.30am.This overlooks the aqueduct.
We have an allocation of 15 rods with only 8 interested so far - please let me know if you want to be involved - it promises to be a good day. Important to let me know in advance. Those who already showed interest don't need to re-contact me unless you can't now make it.
The cost to non club members is £15, payable to me on the day.
A colour map of the waters will be available to everyone.
We will fish until 5.00 and then have a meal/pint at the Lord Moreton, a mile or so away.
The river is mainly rocky so studs are recommended.
Directions: enter Chirk Village from the A483 and turn opposite the church onto the Glyn Ceiriog road. Continue past the houses until you see the yellow posts on the right which is the cafe entrance.(opens 10.00am)
Please God we don't get washed off this time !
A rod of 12ft is ok but a shorter zoom would be useful.
I look forward to meeting everyone.

Just a quick update on how the river is fishing, it's fishing very very well with lots of fish being caught both sub surface and on the dry. You may also catch the odd rainbow or blue! The river is now crystal clear and running low and slow with plenty of pools and runs perfect for Tenkara style fishing.
See you there.
Simon.

Hello All. We've had a lot of heavy rain recently and the Ceiriog is well up. Prospects for next week are drier so hopefully the level will fall fairly quickly, as it usually does.I'll make a final decision mid-week and will advise of any changes. Hopefully we'll be ok.
The plan is that afterwards we'll meet at the Lord Moreton for a bite. It's only 5 minutes away from the river and the post code is LL14 5DG should you be making your own way there.
It's been fishing superbly lately so all being well you'll have a memorable day.
No other names have been added so it would help if you could let me know if you're interested. Also, if you now can not make it.
Be in touch and see you saturday

The intention was to confirm on Wednesday but due to recent rain, Thursday will be more sensible. You can follow the height on the link below - as I write it's 0.541 and we really need a maximum of 0.400. Fortunately the river can fall quickly and the week's forecast is quite good so I'm optimistic. Be in touch... www.gaugemap.co.uk/#!Map/Summary/957/975

again: the link should have opened at the Ceiriog but I see it hasn't so:
type in River Ceiriog, press enter and then select the Brynkinalt monitoring station. Gauge will then show on the right.
