Very sad news that Ray Gibson has died suddenly and that Wendy won't be at the BFFI as a result. He was always one of the first faces I'd see and go over to say hi to at almost any fly fishing show I can think of. The growth and success of the Burton Fly Fair was pretty much solely down to him. Yes, my commiserations too to Wendy and the family, a sad loss indeed. Ken.

Sad news about Ray, it's only a couple of weeks ago I was having a laugh with him and Wendy at the Leeds FDG meet. He will be greatly missed by all who met him. A big gut with a big heart.

What awful news about poor Ray and sincere commiserations to Wendy. Strange how at the Burton show we lost Mike Roden immediately prior to the event. Will miss a larger than life character who was such a prominent figure in the fly tying scene Glyn

I was sorry not to be able to make the fair this year. I was in bed with a cold after doing some river maintenance with WUF.
I am also sorry to hear that Ray has died. He seemed to be a great guy and a real support to Wendy.

Yes, very sad news about Ray. PG & JPs' new video is great. Quite a few folks asked me about Tenkara even though I was on the Italian Style Casting stand.
